As the Assessment Officer at the School of Languages you will be responsible for the standardisation of assessment across approximately 18 Languages Other Than English taught within the school. You will be working with a wide range of multicultural teams to ensure consistent application of the scales across the language courses. Conducting staff familiarisation and update workshops on proficiency testing to ensure consistency of testing will be one of your responsibility as well as developing innovative ways to link proficiency-based scales with new competency based curriculum requirements.

The overall purpose of this position is to develop and deliver a range of English language courses to fee paying overseas students within University English Language Institute
Principal Accountabilities:
To deliver a high level English language teaching program in order to ensure that students have the opportunity to develop their English language proficiency
Work as part of a team in the development and review of curricula that support the English language programs Demonstrate Independent decision making as well as collaborative decision making within the team environment
Typical Duties: Teaching a range of English language courses up to 25 contact hours per week
Preparation of appropriate course materials for lessons delivered
Supplementing existing teaching curriculum and materials within the approved frameworks
Conducting end of intake student course evaluations
Conducting assessments of students’ work using agreed procedures
Maintaining daily accurate student attendance records
Participating in staff meetings as arranged by the Director of Studies/Director
Assisting with the shorts study tours as required
Guiding students on the effective use of the Independent Learning Centre (ILC)
Consulting with students about their work outside of class time
Assisting with the orientation program as required ESL Teacher Location Dubai
We are seeking several experienced and qualified ESL teachers who enjoy working with highly motivated international students. This position will excite teachers who instinctively understand that language teaching is all about empathising with and caring for students of diverse cultural backgrounds who have embarked on a great educational adventure. As a teacher you will be responsible for teaching General English to small groups on an ongoing basis for 20 hours per week. Classes run Mondays to Fridays from 9am until 1pm. Afternoon classes may also be available.
The successful applicants will be required to have completed a university degree in teaching ESL. Prior teaching experience is essential.

Program Officer Location Abu Dhabi
The School of Media and Communication seeks a Program Administrative Officer who will be responsible for providing high level client-focused academic and student administration support to the undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the cluster. The role has a strong customer service orientation, is expected to work closely with academic and administrative staff in the School, and will provide quality services to students and other members of the School community. As the successful candidate you will have demonstrated experience in providing academic administrative services as well as highly developed problem solving and organisational skills, including strong familiarity with word processing, spreadsheets and databases. This school is a small community based school catering for boys and girls from kindergarten to year 12. The school caters for approximately 300 students and aims to provide an education that fosters students academic and growth.
You will hold responsibility for teaching PD/H/PE to the Primary school and junior high school, teaching up to year 10 level. You will be an excellent classroom practitioner and an effective organiser of school sport. You will be willing to be involved in interschool sport across a range of sporting fields. You will be a team player with strong communication skills allowing you to work effectively with other teachers within the school.
